Pastor Bruce Dalager baptized Adelyn in the name of Christ today at Maple Bay Free Lutheran Church on Maple Lake. This is Dan and Kim's church (Jamie's parents), but has also been a church home for us over the last 7 years. We feel so lucky to have been able to spend many of our Sunday's with the parishoners here while we have been back in the states.

Justin & Tracy Schroeder and Eric & Tricia Wikoff are God-parents to Addi as we know they will always be there for her in any way. We pray that the Lord will work in her heart to always choose Christ.

Following Addi's dedication to the Lord the kiddo's enjoyed some fun in the snow. Ella really came to love the snowmobile over the last couple of days. It took Grandpa three tries to get her off. There are cute photo's to add, but for some reason it's not working now. Below is a picture of Addi at her big cousin Chandler's hockey game, Addi's first!

ELLA'S THREE!!!! YIPEE!!!

We can hardly believe it, our little girl is three! My goodness the time goes so fast. It seems like not so long ago I was holding and snuggling baby Ella like we now do with Addi. It kind of makes me ache a little. I don't know what I'll do when she's a teenager if it feels like this when she's three. We feel so blessed to have little Ella and her fun "firecracker" spirit in our lives. She sure keeps things fun and full of life.

Ella has been very excited for her birthday ever since Reed turned four. We didn't have an offical big party with everyone being so busy around the holidays, so it got spread out a little. Ella had three birthday cakes! Too bad she just likes the frosting. Cake #1 was at Great-Grandma Marion's for the December Birthday Crew, #2 at Uncle Justin and Auntie Tracy's, and # 3 last night and Brampa and Bahma Wikoff's. We enjoyed a requested dinner of mac n' cheese, birthday cake, and cupcakes (I did add some cod, chicken nuggets, and broccoli with cashews too). Ella is really enjoying this present thing, but she isn't really able to enjoy the presents until the next day as she opens one present and then asks, "Can I have another one?" She now waits for Christmas!!

We plan to go and visit Eric, Tricia, and Dylan on Friday and then we'll head to the cities Saturday and Sunday to visit friends in the area and at CTK. Sunday we'll head back up north and look forward to celebrating our Saviour's birth next week. We return to Honduras January 7th, as long as papers come in time. It was a little strange applying for a passport for a 5 day old.

Miss Adelyn is now 2 weeks old. She has been quite the delight. She's so lucky to have now met all of her Aunties, Uncles, Cousins, and Grandparents. Grandpa and Grandma Schroeder were here from California and Auntie Desiree from New York to celebrate an early Schroeder Family Christmas. Addi has been much more alert and knows how to get what she needs as she has found her voice. We have all been loving getting to know this new little creation. It's really been a blessing to be here and share this time with family and friends.

Hello Great Big World...I'm Here!!

Well.....I finally came out and...I'M A GIRL!!!!

It was not a fun transition for me. For weeks now my home has been periodically squeezing me, even though I did nothing wrong. Well on Saturday night my little home started squeezing me BIG time! I was minding my own business stretching my legs into mom's ribs and it kept getting worse. It was every 5-7 minutes, which for me was kind of inconvenient. My parents and I left Grandpa and Grandma's house at about 7:30pm and by midnight those squeezes were about every 2 minutes, making my heart rate drop every time. That made mom, dad, and my doctor get a little nervous.

At 1:43 am I decided that if mom mommy's belly doesn't want me anymore, then perhaps I don't want to be there either. So I popped out to meet my daddy. He is pretty cool, but he cut that fun rope that connected me to mom. I really liked playing with that thing, so much I had it wrapped around my cute little foot. Mom took me back and I found out that I really like MILK! I was made to drink that stuff. I weighed in at 7lbs 13oz and 19 1/2 inches long. Mommy kept telling me she thought that I would be bigger, but I will be soon at the rate I like drinking milk.

Mommy and Daddy named me Adelyn Juliette Schroeder. My middle name is after my grandma Julie, who I can't wait to meet in ten days. You can call me Addi if you want too. I had a big day yesterday because besides being born, I got to meet lots of new family and friends. I even got to meet both my great grandparents.

We made our way to Grandpa and Grandma Wikoff's house this afternoon and this place is HUGE. I thought that the hospital room was ginormous, but this house takes the cake. Reed and Ella are pretty cool, but scary. They get right over top of me and they are kinda big. Ella is very sweet to me and keeps talking to me, touching my hand, singing me songs (my favorite is, "I'm your big sister") and laughing. I think that I will get along with her good! More to come later, I've been a little tired lately so I think I'll go take another nap!

Daddy...you did an awesome job keeping mommy relaxed and going strong! By the way, thanks for the being my personal paparazzi and helping mommy through those big squeezes, Lulu! It was very fun to have you and Grandma Kim there to welcome me into this big big world!
